Hello Mr Finch, I saw you playing in the Joburg Match with a different putter. Where you perhaps playijng with a prototype Nike Putter. It was clearly no Yes Putter with the red front line. Hope hearing from you. Success. Frits de Vries the Netherlands

Frits De Vries

Hi Frits, you're correct - in Joburg I putted with a Nike Method Concept - not using the Yes! at the moment. The Nike one is a new putter which Nike will be releasing shortly. All the best for 2012, Richard.

Hi Richard, Why did you pull out of The Open qualification? Phil

Langham Phil

Hi Phil, it was regret that I had to withdraw from the IFQ at Sunningdale but this was due to the fact that I'd had a bad back for over a week and two rounds of golf in a day certainly wasn't going to help matters. I was worried that if I played I may have done some longer term damage. After a week of rest, however, it's all fixed and I'll be starting to practice again tomorrow. Cheers, Richard.

Hi Richard, do you find life living out of a suitcase hard? I notice that some of our cricketers are struggling just now. I often think the life of a pro golfer seems great, but can it be a lonely place too?

Paul Jenkinson

Hi Paul, thanks for the question. Living out of a suitcase probably isn't ideal but over a period of time you get used to it and you realise that it has to be done in order to compete in the tournament all over the world and I count myself lucky that I'm able to do that and go to so many great places. Although I must admit my idea of a holiday is to stay at home! As for a lonely place - the European Tour is really friendly and whilst golf is an individual sport all the players and caddies get along great and the feeling is that it's more like a travelling team. All the best, Finchy.

hi there richard just bought the same irons as you with x100 shafts what do you think to your irons thanks james

James Irwin

Hi James, they're a great set of irons and if they're good enough for Tiger then they're good enough for us!! All the best, Richard.

Richard, I have recently taken over as the Junior Chairman at Cottingham Parks. Are there any things in your early career that you now look back on and say 'I wish I`d had that, or done that'? I want to inspire our lads to be the best they can be whilst still ensuring they enjoy every day at golf. Thanks, Ken Hilton

Ken Hilton

Hi Ken, in answer to your question - no not really!! Mind you I think I'd have liked a new set of clubs every week and plenty of new practice balls! I was really lucky and had the opportunity to play with older people which I found really beneficial and I learnt a lot from those experiences. I'm sure you'll really enjoy looking after the juniors and they'll love having a bit of direction with their golf - chipping and putting competitions are a good idea and the main thing is that they really have fun whilst they're doing it. Best of luck, Richard.
